Direct debit is a safe, secure system of accepting automatic payment for your products.  Each week, after your products are delivered, the cost of the products will be automatically debited from your account.  This allows you to pay for your items upon delivery, but without the hassle of writing a check.  You will get an email informing you of what was debited from your account, so you will always be informed.

 

This is a convenient way to get everything you need, and pay for it, without lifting a finger.  By using this system, we are able to offer a great service to you while keeping our prices low. 

 

Just print and fill out the Direct Debit form and return it to your emilkman.com delivery driver along with a voided check.  Or you can mail it to:

Q. What are Direct Debit payments?

In short, Direct Debit is an electronic payment alternative to credit cards and paper checks. The Automated Clearing House (ACH) network is the same safe, secure, and reliable system used by hundreds of thousands of companies for processing customer payments, Direct Deposit payroll, and more.

ACH has been in use for over 30 years and is an extremely safe private network that is not part of the Internet. Through Emilkman.com Direct Debit, payments are available as an alternate method of payment that can also offer convenience, savings, and features that make accepting paper checks seem archaic.

Q. Is Direct Debit new?

No.  You are probably using Direct Debit and did not even know it.  If you have any of your monthly bills (car payment, phone bill, house payment, etc) come out of your checking account automatically, that is a Direct Debit (ACH) transaction.  In the same way, if you use direct deposit, that is also an ACH transaction. 

 

Q. Are transactions secured?

Absolutely. All transactions occur using First ACH secure servers located in our secured data center with controlled access. We use a 128-bit SSL encrypted sessions, mask bank account numbers to protect your transactions, and exceed all requirements as set forth by NACHA, the governing body that regulates the acceptance and transport of ACH transactions.  First ACH is also certified through Verisign, an industry leader in the provisioning of web security services.

 

 

Q.  Where/how is my bank account information stored?

Your information is stored with Emilkman.com in hard copy form, and sorted securely offline.  It is be kept confidential and will not be stored online.  When transactions occur, they are sent via encrypted connection, with masked account numbers.  Masking account numbers blocks out the last 4 digits of the account number for added security in processing.

 

Q.  What is displayed on my bank account statement when I process transactions through Direct Debit?

For each transaction, the description field of your bank statement will show Emilkman.com followed by “First ACH”.

 

Q.  What if I change my standing order or I add or delete products from my delivery?

You are only charged for the items that you actually received.  We will not debit your account based on your standing order.  It is the same as going through a check out line.  You only pay for what you get.

 

Q.  What will you do with my info if I stop being a customer?

We are required by law to store the information for 2 years.  After which time, if you are no longer a customer, your information will be shredded.

 

Q.  What if I change banks or close my account, and need to update my payment information?

That is no problem.  You will simply email us or inform your emilkman.com delivery driver and he will get you a new Emilkman.com Direct Debit form to fill out with the updated information or you can print one off out website.  To avoid fees associated with transactions not going through, please inform us right away if a change needs to be made.

 

Q.  Are there any fees involved?

There are no fees involved with Direct Debit unless your transaction does not go through due to insufficient funds or a closed account, etc.  If a transaction can not be completed due to insufficient funds or a closed account, there will be a $25 fee per occurance.  We will then be in touch with you to re-run your transaction, or collect an alternate form of payment.
